Question about Karl Marx...Help Please?

In a free society (not a Marxist society) you are free to make whatever contracts for your labor you choose. It is a competitive market, the price of which will be determined by the value of what you do and how many other people can do it. It's only a "race to the bottom" of your skills are such that there is low demand relative to the supply of people who can do what you do.
