What do sardines in mustard taste like?

My Commanding Officer eats them for afternoon chow,right in front of me.I never really caught a whiff of them,but i've heard its bad.I just opened a tin right now and i'm just staring at it.It smells sort of like crab meat with allot of seasoning on it,to me.Does it taste anything like seasoned crab meat? I have never had anchovies,but I here it tastes like that.
